The Cadillac (Area) for Snowmobilers!

For years, people have used the word “Cadillac” to describe the best for many categories. Coincidentally the Cadillac, Michigan area is the best place on Mother Earth for snowmobiling, with miles of great trails and months of perfect weather!

Snowmobilers find Cadillac's groomed trails among the finest in the nation. And the Cadillac area snow belt extends the season with the most reliable snow in northern lower Michigan. Trails are built, maintained and groomed by a group of dedicated and highly-skilled volunteers.

The Department of Natural Resources requires all sleds to have a Michigan Snowmobile Trail Permit. Permits are $35 each and are good for the 2010 season.  Permits may be purchased upon arrival at McGuire's Resort.

Cadillac Area Snowmobile Trail Maps are available for $2 and can be purchased at McGuire's Resort Guest Services in the main lobby. The Cadillac community provides access to Lake Cadillac via a new route along M-115 to the canal where Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell meet. Snowmobiles are not permitted on public streets within the Cadillac city limits.
