With Beautiful Grand Pines, Rolling Hills and Perfect Bent Grass Greens, This is Up-North Michigan Golf at its Finest
Resorts are supposed to be fun, right? So if we can agree on that premise, then you'll have a great time on all 27 holes of golf here at McGuire's Resort! The course plays longer then it appears on the scorecard, with very tight fairways. And when you're not admiring Mother Nature's work in her magnificent pine trees, you'll remember to hit around them!
The course sits on a hillside overlooking Lake Cadillac, with rolling fairways and older, traditional small greens with a lot of slope from front to back.
Your tee time is waiting
Golf junkies feel right at home at McGuire's. Our championship 18-hole Spruce Course was designed by Bruce Matthews, Sr. then later enhanced by Mark DeVries. It's appropriately named, as it winds through serene pine forests and rolling hills.
With its meticulously maintained fairways, contemporary design and extraordinary blend of bunkers, berms, water hazards and fast greens, you'll agree that it's the quintessential setting for northern Michigan golf. Whether you finish with a birdie or a bogie, you're left with a magnificent view of Lake Cadillac!
"The nice thing about the 27 holes of golf at McGuire's Resort is that golfers of all skill levels can come out and have an enjoyable round: seniors, kids, ladies - even beginners. And over the "course" of 40-plus years, some of the kids who took their first swings are coming back to McGuire's for another round - and this time they have their kids and grandkids with them!"
Phil Himes, Head Professional, McGuire's Resort
Norway Course
The 18-hole Spruce Course is complemented by our 9-hole Norway Course, which plays to between 2,792 and 2,358 yards. Norway is similar to Spruce in topography, but has wider fairways and less intrusive trees and foliage.
For those looking for a classic resort golf experience, Norway provides ample opportunity for high handicappers and casual golfers to enjoy the game.
One of the amenities missing at many upscale golf resorts is a layout that is user-friendly to beginners. Norway provides this and also is a pleasant experience for seasoned golfers looking to work in an extra nine.

Tennis & More
A golf resort we are, but we a lot more to offer than just 27 holes of beautiful golf. While you're staying at McGuire's Resort, be sure to enjoy our indoor pool, two tennis courts and game room. And after a long day of Cadillac fun, wind the day down with cold drinks at The Terrace Room Restaurant or Curly's Sports Pub!
Lake Cadillac & Mitchell
Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell have large populations of walleye, northern pike, crappie, bluegills, perch, largemouth and small mouth bass. The two lakes are connected by a canal built during the long and interesting northern Michigan logging era. The canal was originally built so lumbermen could float timber from the shores of Lake Mitchell to waiting sawmills on Lake Cadillac. Today the canal serves as a convenient link between two of Michigan's most popular fishing lakes.
Together Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell offer over 3,700 acres of prime fish holding habitat. Lake Cadillac is approximately 1,120 acres in size and features over 400 acres of prime fish-holding weed cover. A fertile body of water, 50% of the lake is 15 feet deep or less.
Lake Mitchell spans over 2,580 acres with approximately 2,000 acres dominated by lush patches of aquatic cabbage weed. Over 95 percent of the lake is less than 15 feet deep.
